I photographed baby “R”’s third session in the Year in the Life of Baby just before I left for my trip. Since she turns one this month, it was a birthday themed session, complete with balloons and cake! Love it!

To wrap up our Year in the Life of Baby sessions with baby “M”, I photographed her 1st birthday! I’m a little disappointed I wont be seeing her every few months now, but I can’t believe how much she has grown over the year. From when she could barely stay awake to now running all over!
Check out how much Baby “M” has grown in just 3 months! Here she is at our first sessions and now shes turning into a big bouncing baby, full of expressions and new skills to show off.

So if youre not in the holiday mood yet, with only 3 days until xmas left, I hope my recent family portrait sessions will do it for you! I will be officially off duty 12/24- 1/4 for holiday break and travel, but will be attending to some emails and such on 12/27 & 12/28 only. I was a brave, brave soul and got my kids shopping done on Black Friday (as well as some light shopping on Cyber Monday), but somehow, I still dont have all my shopping done for all my family. What about you? Have you even started? Were you done months ago (like my grandmother always manages to do)?

Here is another sweet baby girl on the Year in the Life of Baby package! If mom and dad look familiar, I photographed the two of them a couple years ago just for fun. Now they are a family and I’m so happy for them!!!

I love the way babies look, smell, sleep, smile. It makes my heart flutter a little. I especially love to photograph them! This sweet baby girl is on my Year in the Life of Baby package so I’ll be coming back to her again and again to document her first year… and on! For her first session, just a few weeks old, I went to the place she knows best, her home!

Anyone notice it starting to get darker just a little bit earlier now? I have at my last couple beach session- fall is coming! I’m a little disappointed that I haven’t gotten as many things done on my 101 in 1001 list done as I’d hoped this summer thus far. Sometimes I look at it and just get overwhelmed with what to do next! So I think I need some suggestions- check out my 101 in 1001 list here and tell me what I should do next! :o)

Just a few from a session last weekend with a really fun family!
I go from happy and bright to dark and moody in .5 seconds!
I was so excited about finally getting to shoot baby Melaina last week (you might remember the maternity session I shot last month, if not click here!). I don’t get to photograph a lot of little tiny squishy head babies, so I already though of a bunch of ideas for the session, I even broke out my blue chair, which I rarely do any more! We are maybe about 20 minutes into the session and it starts raining, no, its not raining…its POURING! And with the location we were at, it was not easy to find shelter. We were dashing that mad people to our cars, which isn’t such a bad walk when its nice and dry outside, but when its raining… we were soaked, but totally cracking up, we looked ridiculous. That was my first time being rained out on a session like that, and hopefully the last. We had enough time to grab some nice images though! :o)
I love the expressions infants make. I think I know what she’s doing in this one…
