Susan came and second for me again, and she got another great shot of the PAPARAZZI! Either I’m really that short or that’s a bad angle! I’m going to have to get some good ones of her next time. :o)

Bad Photos That You Want To Hide In Your Closet

I’ve been to my same dentist, for a long time, I’m not sure how long but I’ll guess its been 13/14 years. And when I started seeing my dentist they used to take pictures of the kids and post them up on these bulliten boards, I think the purpose was to make you feel “special”. Well they still have these boards and everytime I go to the dentist I look at this photo and want to laugh. Look at me! I was so homely! I remember that jacket it included every neon color and every possible pattern known to man. And the bangs. Seriously. And the photo directly to the left to it, is my sister Justine, she looks so sweet and perfect. She still looks the same today.

TGIF. Enjoy the holiday weekend!

What The Duck!!

Checking blogs this morning, and on this lovely ladies I saw it. It feels oh so appropriate.

I love What The Duck!

I <3 Families At The Beach

When I feel like I’ve nailed a session it’s not because I got everyone looking at the camera at once, on their good side, angled just so, that they look like they could be the models in the picture frames. Nope. I feel like I got it right when I capture the people and their relationships as they are, in the most intimate, perfect way.

First here’s AJ, Jacob and their many faces.

Change of clothes. Why do I like this photo? Because it reminds me of Laila, who is a drama queen and hates getting dressed just like Jacob.

A lot of the times I couldn’t tell is Jacob was laughing or crying. He was laughing here.

Marathon Session Sunday Photos

I think I got at least 5 emails after that Sunday, about Marathon Sessions. Hello, was a month not enough time to book a spot? Marathon Session’s only come twice a year ya’ll!

Here are some highlights…

First, my mom’s neighbors, I see these two all the time. Alaina is a future model/mom (she adores Laila!) and her brother is a future comedian.

5/3/2008 Wedding- Easton, MD

I really don’t have time to make a blog post but I am in a good mood so I decided to take a couple hours out and catch up…

I love Amy and Eddie, they are such a beautiful couple inside and out. Since the moment I met Amy last fall, her and Eddie have treated me as not just their photographer but as a friend and a welcomed guest at their wedding! I knew their day would be nothing but the intimate, laid back, gorgeous day I’ve heard Amy gush about. Check it out!

Nicole + Eric Are Expecting!!

I’ve known Nicole for a looong time.  She was/is a friend of my older sister, Crystal, from high school!  She’s had been on bedrest for some of her bumpy pregnancy but being just a two weeks away from her due date she wanted to get her maternity portraits done quickly. Then, right before she was leaving for her session she jammed her finger in a window!  What luck.  But she was determined to get them done so she sucked it up and came, even if it was just a little later, we still had enough light left to get a good session out of it!  And word is she had her baby this week,  I guess we’ll be seeing some baby pictures here soon!

That will be one beautiful little girl!

My Kids Are Looking For A New Mom

…who actually pay attention to them! As I’ve been glued to the computer for the week I think Riley’s been raising Laila and she’s just about had it and gone looking for a new mommy.

My typical day goes something like this: “Mom, I’m hungry!”. “Mommy’s resting her head, give me a minute.” 10 minutes later, “MOM! I’M HUNGRY!”. *snore*. An hour later, “woops, its 9 already!”. Walk into the kitchen. “Where did you get an icecream sandwhich?!”. Look over at the counter and see ice cream messy goodness. Clean up. Sit down at computer to check emails. Laila starts crying. Blame Riley immediately. Sooth baby Laila. Back to what I was doing, wait what was I doing? Lost train of thought. Make REAL breakfast. Back at computer, I have to tackle some editing on the 5849831 job I have yet to complete. This time I get a whole half hour until someone starts crying. *sigh*, come around the corner to see what child is in need. “What the bajesus flew through my house while I was at my desk for the past 30 minutes?!” Clean up. Again. Decide the kids need to get out of the house for a bit so I schedule a quick park visit. Spend an hour at the park with 20 pounds strapped to my hip, pushing swings and watching Riley everytime she says “Look Mommy, look!”. Get home, nap time for the kids. YES!!! 90 minutes of total silence to work like there’s no tomorrow. Awww nap time is over already! Time to think about dinner. Look in pantry. What can I make with noodles and peanut butter? Chick-fil-a! Eat, mess, mess, edit, check email. “Mommy, Laila has a dirty diaper!”. “Can you change her, mommy’s busy, oh and give her a bath while you’re at it!”. Later, “Mommy, Laila has a bloody nose?” “What?”. “Laila’s bleedin!”. “That’s nice hunny.”. Step back into real world. Phew, finally time to put those gifts from above to sleep. Silence! Edit. Retire for the night. Wake up and repeat!

Maybe, I’m exaggerating A LITTLE BIT.

But in order to regain my title of MOM and “Freakin Awesome Photographer That Doesn’t Miss Deadlines And Keep Her Sanity” I have to limit my scheduling to just 2 portrait sessions per week! “What a wimp!”, you’re thinking. Well, yeah, you’re right!

So if you still have something you need to schedule, whether you haven’t booked yet or its an engagement session credit you need to schedule. I would suggest doing so 3-4 weeks in advance to get an ideal date.

I love my job and I’d like to keep it that way! I hope I made you giggle a little bit. Moms and Dads, check out this blog: Because I Said So AND Looky Daddy
