10/4/2008 Wedding- Baltimore, MD

Wow have I been busy!  I’m just now getting around to blogging a wedding in the beginning of the month, and there’s only 2.5 weddings left this year!

Sarah and Cameron’s wedding seemed to have a beautiful, classic sense to it.  It was a long, fun day, WARM October wedding. I’m missing the warmth now, as I blog with the space heater running next to me!

I got some crazy looks from the girls when I started intensely shooting the chandelier, they didn’t notice I was looking at the rings until I was done. ;)

Portrait Sessions- No Mas!!!

So I know alot of people were looking forward to Fall Marathon Sessions, but I got SO busy that I didn’t have a single weekend open to do them. Now Novemeber is filling up with last minute portrait sessions and the tail end of wedding season that I only have a few slots left for any sort of portrait session THIS YEAR.   That includes any engagement sessions. If you’d like to start booking for 09′ feel free to shoot an email to reserve dates, because ya know, its almost that time of year to re-evaluate pricing ;o). Although I’d like to say December is pure vacation, I’ll probably be working albums all month and meeting with new 09′ couples, but I won’t be doing any shooting!!!

My Sisters Married!

Justine and Darren did it!  After  almost 18 months of planning, they were married at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club on 10/3/08. Justine made her sisters, Crystal and I, maids of honor for the event.  She hired her own photog so I was just there to enjoy the day. I did bring my camera but surpisingly took very little photos.  I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off until the reception!

Here’s a few captures from my camera…

Crystal, Me, Justine, Mom (and grandma’s head cutoff in the corner!)

Me and the flower girls!

Now here’s few I stole from the hired photographers website! :o) STUDIO KAMA.

I know I can’t have favorite couples, but if I did, Meagan and RT would be up there. Their wedding day made it the 4th time I’ve photographed them… just wait until they start having kids, I won’t ever go out of business!!! They might look familiar, if you scroll up to the top of the page, you might understand why. ;o) They had a wedding just as beautiful and awesome as they are, check it out!

CEREMONY/RECEPTION: Patuxent Greens Country Club

I’m a horrible blogger! Here’s a quick post in an attempt to catch up, Nikki and Tom were married just over two weeks ago! I’ve already photographed her sisters wedding last year and I’ll be shooting another sisters wedding next year. Wow!

It’s not everyday you see a wedding dress on a bathroom stall. I worked it out!

I don’t remember what was going on here but it looks serious

Hmmm. Who has the broken flower?

Awesome!

Things I Love About My New House

I loooove my new house! It’s the perfect space for just the three of us, I even get a room soley dedicated to photography PLUS only a photographer would say this but- its great for taking pictures in, it has beautiful light, open spaces and cool little nooks. I was anticipating the lease expiring at my apartment, because we way outgrew the place. I knew when I moved I wanted everyone to have their own room, plus an office area for me and I wanted something old, theres something about hardwood floors and radiators that make my heart skip a beat! I’m still renting but not only did I find that and then some, it has a funny little story too. My parents put a contract on this same house 10 years ago, they never got it, but its still neat that somehow it came back around to me.

Lemongrass is right outside my bedroom window, you better believe I walked over there and had dinner the other night!

Presently a room that stores my emptied boxes but will eventually be a home office. I am most excited about this area, hopefully I can start having my meetings here!
