First, let me say I am beyond excited to photograph this wedding later this year. Garrette has seen my work years before, I think it was 2 daughters ago she came accross my blog and she remembered my name when she got engaged. I am so happy she did because working with them so far as been a blast, if you can’t tell from their engagement session they are just fun, beautiful and so great together.

We were going for a DC but not too DC engagement session so we started out at the Constituion Gardens, which is one of my favorite spots. The willow trees around the pond at the gardens are magical and you get a different view of the Washington Monument there. From there, we walked around to end the session at the Lincoln Memorial and on our way we ran into a little march of bag pipes and right as we were finishing the last shots it started to rain and you can see in some of the photos little sprinkles of rain which worked in our favor because it cleared out some of the crowds.
